Join our new winter Smart Home Pilot at PECO
PECO is exploring ways to save energy and money with smart home technology, and we are looking for volunteers for a winter 2026 pilot.
The pilot will offer eligible PECO customers access to a new smart home app and the ability to earn rewards for saving energy on select days this winter.
How to save with Connect2Home
Pilot participants can receive up to $100* in rewards!
Energy Saving Hours will happen for 10 days consecutively (excluding weekends), once in January and once in February.

When Energy Saving Hours occur
Energy Saving Hours will occur between 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Participants can override any adjustments at any time via the app or manually and are always in control.
How participation works
Customers participating automatically will have their thermostats lowered 2 degrees and connected devices turned off. Those who prefer to participate manually can adjust devices through the app when notified.
How to earn rewards
There will be two savings periods, during which pilot participants can receive $5 a day for reducing energy use during Energy Saving Hours. These periods will be in January and February of 2026 and last for 10 days (excluding weekends).
Program dates
There are two weekday-only savings periods:
- January 5–16
- February 2–13
